For better and longer-lasting paint results, it is recommended that you use a base paint ( such as a sealer or a primer which helps even out the surface, provides extra waterproofing and strengthens the adhesion of the top coat to the wall ) and remember to use more than one coat of paint finish.  The type of surface, and the painting system are strongly recommended as following :

  • Exteriors ( Concrete, cement wall, skimcoated and plaster )

Step 1). Surface preparation

– Surface to be painted must be cleaned thoroughly and dry, free from dirt, grease and other foreign matters. Avoid painting if moisture content and alkalinity of the surfaces are still high.

* Cleaning by waterjetting for existing problem wall is compulsory.

Step 2). Apply primer

– 1 coat of Wall sealer / primer ( water base or solvent base ).

Step 3). Apply top coat

– 2 coats of Acrylic Weather paint as top finish.

  • Interiors ( Concrete and cement wall )

Step 1). Surface Preparation

– Surface to be painted must be cleaned thoroughly and dry, free from dirt, grease and other foreign matters. Avoid painting if moisture content and alkalinity of the surfaces are still high.

Step 2). Apply Primer

– 1 coat of Wall sealer / primer ( water base or solvent base ).

Step 3). Apply Top Coat

– 2 coats of quality Interior paint as top finish.

 

  •  Ceiling ( Concrete, skimcoated and plaster )

Step 1). Surface Preparation 

– Surface to be painted must be cleaned thoroughly and dry, free from dirt, grease and other foreign matters. Avoid painting if moisture content and alkalinity of the surfaces are still high.

Step 2). Apply Primer

– 1 coat of Wall sealer / primer ( water base or solvent base ), or Emulsion paint.

Step 3). Apply Top Coat

– 2 coats of quality Interior paint as top finish.

  • Woods / Metals Grills and Gate

Step 1). Surface Preparation

– For wood, clean the surface from any dirt, grease and other foreign matters. Let the surface thoroughly dry prior to painting. Also, smoothen the wood surface with sandpaper.

– For metal, the surface must be free of mill scale, rust, grease, oil and other contaminants. Make sure surface is clean and dry completely prior to painting.

– For timber (varnish), remove all unstable paint film, dust, wax and other foreign matters. Smoothen the surface with sandpaper. If necessary, fill wood grains with appropriate filler. Make sure surface is clean and dry completely prior to painting.

Step 2). Apply Primer

– 1 coat of Undercoat for woods and metals, or Red Oxide primer (antirust) for metals;

Step 3). Apply Top Coat

– 2 coats of Gloss Finish as top finish.

  • Roof ( Concrete )

Step 1). Surface preparation

-Remove all loose paint film, chalk, dust and other foreign matter with water jet, wiping or cleaning. Make sure surface is clean and completely dry prior to painting. Avoid painting when the moisture content and alkalinity of the surfaces are still high.

Step 2). Apply primer

– 2 coats of Roof Sealer .

Step 3). Apply top coat

– at least 2 coats of Roof paint as top finish.
